eIRB is a browser based web application. This means that you need an Internet connection and a supported browser to access and interact with the system. Your browser must allow cookies, Java Script and Java applets. eIRB supports and has been tested on the following systems:
- Internet Explorer 9, 10 or 11
(NOTE: if you are having difficulty viewing a page with internet explorer, you may need to switch your browser into compatibility mode. To do so, please click on the following link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10-win-7
- Microsoft Edge: latest version
- Firefox: latest version
- * Chrome: latest version
(If you install a theme in Chrome, vertical scrollbars might disappear in pop-up windows.)
Macintosh OS X 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, or 10.11:
- Safari: latest version applicable to OS
- Firefox latest version
- Chrome: latest version
Safari on iOS 8,9
The following browsers are not supported by the system. Use of non-recommended browsers can result in unexpected behavior and data input issues.
- Microsoft Windows: Safari, Opera
- Macintosh: Internet Explorer
- Display capable of at least 1024x768 resolution.
- High-speed Internet connection (128K or higher).
- Dial-up Internet connections are not recommended.
Recommend File Types for attachments:
The list below contains the recommended file types to upload into eIRB. If you must provide documents that are in other file types, check whether the document can be converted to one of the formats below before uploading. If your web, image, audio, or video file type is not accepted, you may deliver the materials to the IRB office with a cover letter identifying the study.
NOTE: Usually, choosing File > Save As from your application gives you the option to save in alternate formats. If you need assistance, contact your systems administrator.
